Nomor Research provides training courses for 5G Radio Access and 5G Core Networks on regular basis via its partners, the Carl-Cranz-Gesellschaft Germany and the Continuing Education Institute Sweden (CEI)
5G is the next generation radio access technology that is currently in the phase of development and standardization. 5G Radio Access will provide new services like Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Massive Machine Type (mMTC) Communications and Ultra-Reliable and Low Latency Communications (URLLC). New extreme requirements include peak data rates of up to 20 Gbps in downlink / 10 Gbps in uplink and latencies as low as 1 ms. 5G shall also enable communication using massive MIMO techniques leveraging beam forming in very high frequency bands > 6GHz in cm-wave, mm-wave bands.
5G also comprises a next generation core network. The 5G core will support new technologies like network slicing, service and context awareness, network function virtualization, multi-connectivity and multi-tenancy as well as a new QoS and security framework. Also the interfaces shall be access agnostic. New cloud RAN solutions with centralized processing also need to support various fronthaul/backhaul options. Based on its attendance in 3GPP, the trainer will also provide the latest update of 5G standardisation in 3GPP.
