We are looking for a Software Engineer – Future Multimedia Delivery Systems

(Reference I-19-01)

The Job:

  • Conceive and realize applications related to delivery of multimedia, especially focusing on video and audio data.
  • Implementation of protocols and algorithms for future multimedia delivery systems, in particular OTT delivery of video
  • Work independently and also within the software engineering team to implement algorithms, components or interfaces to other entities in simulations
  • Based on system specifications you will be fully responsible for design, implementation, test and documentation of specific software components
  • Participate and contribute to technical discussions internally and externally
  • Lead projects or sub-projects, managing deadlines, reporting and dissemination

The Qualifications:

  • Expert in web programming: you speak in terms of PRs and Javascript; you think in terms of web frameworks. Thoroughly familiar with Node.js, PHP, Python and the likes of these. You can dive into C++ and Java programming when needed.
  • Linux environments, and Unix shell scripting languages
  • Knowledge of multimedia technology and standards such as MPEG standards: DASH, ISO BMFF, H264/AVC, HEVC, Audio codecs
  • Knowledge of IP-based protocols (UDP, TCP, SIP/SDP, etc.)
  • You must be in possession of a European Union living- and work-permit.
  • Proficient spoken and written English.
